Program Description

Experience the lives of outlaws and vigilante groups as local historians and authors (many of whom can trace their roots back to the region's early settlers) educate you on how these desperate characters influenced the history and development of the Ozarks. Get to know the relationship of Bonnie and Clyde, the Young Brothers of Brookline Massacre fame and the Ma Barker Gang, and journey through the territory of the Bald Knobbers to learn what drove them to take the law into their own hands. Walk in the town square of the Wild Bill Hickok and Tutt gunfight that inspired dime novels, books and films, and pay visits to Baxter Springs and other areas made infamous by outlaw behavior, including lunch in a bank once robbed by the Younger gang.
