Program Description
Join us in Branson MO for a nostalgic tour of American life in the '50s, recalling the major events, people and culture of this prosperous time in America. Reminisce about the birth of television and early stars, examine the great movies of the era, study the roots of rock 'n' roll and learn about major influences in pop culture such as Dick Clark. Lectures by historians outline the social and political events of the decade and their impact on us today. Attend and critique three live shows in Branson based on this historic era, then top off the seminar by celebrating New Year's Eve with a performance of the Magnificent Seven. The show will feature seven decades of music with a strong focus on the fifties and sixties, champagne, and favors.
